GREGORY CHANDLER--PROTEIN DIGESTION



Proteins are taken, by athletes, to build muscle.  I speak on the various types of protein supplements and the digestion rate of the protein.

WHEY:  Whey protein has rapid digestion and absorption.  Therefore, whey protein is good upon waking up in the morning.

EGG:  Egg protein has moderate digestion and absorption. Egg protein can be used during the day to supply prolonged protein. 

CASEIN:  This protein has slow digestion and absorption.  Casein protein is often used at night for those who want protein sent to the muscles during sleep.
