GREGORY CHANDLER--The Role of ACE

ACE, as used here, stands for angiotensin-I-converting enzyme.

ACE plays a key role in skeletal muscle metabolism and strength.
ACE seems to influence one-rep maximum in strength training.

The ACE insertion/deletion polymorphism has been associated with
improvements in performance and exercise duration in a variety of
athletes.  ACE was actually one of the first genes discovered to impact
physical performance.  ACE has been primarily linked to endurance
activities.

One can, therefore, seek out supplements that contain ACE.
